End of semester

Wow it's hard to believe that this semester has come to an end. I have enjoyed learning about educational leadership and the ISLLC standards. I look forward to taking Technology for Educators this Fall.

Week of July 11th

The light at the end of the tunnel is ahead.  I finished up my last assignment in 635 but I still  need to take the final exam.
In 612, I only hae 2 assignments and the final left to complete.  Wow, it's hard to believe it's alomost over.  I have enjoyed my two courses in the Ed. Leadership program and I am looking forward to taking 624 in the Fall.

Week of July 4th

After the smoke has cleared from the rain delayed fireworks show, it is time for this week's coursework.  In 612, I finished up chapters 7 & 8 and I began working on chapter 9.  In addition, our group has met several times and we are finishing up our New Orleans assignment as well.
In 635, I finished up the special education assignment, individual assignment #3, and group assignment #3.  This week I will work on group assignment #4 and individual assignment #4.  I am enjoying reading the case studies and thinking about what I would do as an adminstrator if I were in that situation.

Week of June 27th

Moving right along.......It's hard to believe that this semester is half way over; however, I am enjoying the coursework in both classes.  I am finishing up individual assignments for chapters 7 & 8 as well as the New Orleans group assignment in 612.  In 635, I am finishing up the Special Ed. assignment, individual assignment #3 (3.6), and group assignment #3 ((3.14).

Week of June 20th

I have finished up my mid-term, quizzes and assignments through chapter 6 and I am a little ahead on my pacing guide.  I have worked on our group assignment PPT and will meet with my group tomorrow evening at 6:30 and then in Breeze with the class at 7:30. 

I have finished my bibliography, discussions questions and the first two individual assignments in 635.  I am currently working on the special educ. assignment and group assignment 3.  Our group has completed assignment 1 and 2 so far and we are planning to meet Thursday at 8:00 in Breeze.  I plan to also meet with the class on Wed. in Breeze at 7:00.

Week of June 13th

I am glad to be finishing up the school year at Belview this week; the summer break will allow me more time to focus on my two courses at RU. 

In 635, I have finished writng my individual case summary 4.1 and I am beginning to work on my group case 4.7.  My group #7 met last week for discussion and we will meet again this coming Thursday at 8 pm.

In 612, I am working on chapters 3 and 4 and preparing for my mid-term.  I am also working on my group #2 PPT.  My pacing guide is current and is a great resource to keep me on track.

Week of June 6th

This week I have enjoyed the iTunes lectures on my iPad and completed my Bibliography assignment.  I finally met in Breeze for the first time with my groups from both courses and we were able to assign group leaders as well as complete our pacing guides.  Currently, I am in the process of writing a summary for my first case (4.1) and I plan to attend the virtual meeting on Thursday at 7:00 for 635 and 7:30 for 612.

Week of May 30th

This week I completed reading Chapters 1 & 2 in EDEL 612 and finished the assignments as well as the quizzes for those two chapters.  I also completed my discussion questions and confidential statements.  I am currently working on the Bibliography assignment for EDEL 635 and I am awaitng a responses from my goups in both courses to set up group leaders and determine dates so that I can fill in the remainder of my pacing guides.

Orientation

I enjoyed an orientation meeting with Dr. McCracken at Radford University yesterday.  I am excited about being given the opportunity to learn from his experience and expertise.
